Mr. Werner is actively involved in underlying investment activities at the firm, alongside other fund formation and maintenance responsibilities that span capital formation, partnership appraisal, process best practice development and internal valuation and controls assessment.
Prior to Northampton, Mr. Werner was an Associate at Blackstone Energy Partners (now Blackstone Energy Transition Partners). While there, he covered a range of investing activities across the power, utilities, renewables, and energy transition sub-verticals, financing, and other monetization activities. Prior to Blackstone, Mr. Werner worked at J.P. Morgan in the Mergers & Acquisitions advisory group, focusing on the energy sector with sub-coverage across industrials, metals and mining, and healthcare.
Mr. Werner received an M.A. in International Studies and an M.B.A. from the Lauder Institute and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, Mr. Werner received a B.Sc. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
